| DIstrict, admin are goal driven towards moving students data, filling gaps and preparing teachers to teach towards mastery with exemplars. Most teachers appreciate this and have implemented this throughout buildings. | Teachers are not clear on what is expected to be completed by the end of the school year. It takes more time than allotted to create an exemplar and implement strategies. Classroom time is needed during PD’s to work cooperatively in teams outside of training, implement and utilize info from the training and gain mastery in at least one thing that is expected. Too many initiatives and lack of time are clouding the effectiveness of instruction and implementation with fidelity. |
| There are some really good outside entities that are being utilized by the district, bringing in some promising expertise to impact change. | Different entities (school, KL consulting, UVA, BOCES) have different definitions of success criteria, etc., leading to discombobulated expectations from teachers. Big Rocks are defined, however, there is a disconnect on a clear direction on implementation to get to the end goal. |
