District Priority 1
Instructional Support
| Strategic Priority One | |
|---|---|
| Why is this important? | Tier 1 instructional support is crucial for teachers because it provides a strong foundation for effective teaching and learning, ensuring that all students receive high-quality, research-based instruction in the general education setting. This level of support includes well-structured lesson plans, differentiated instruction, and formative assessments that help teachers meet the diverse needs of their students. Additionally, aligning lessons with standards ensures that instruction is focused and coherent, while using exemplars and clearly defined success criteria helps students understand expectations and strive for excellence. By implementing Tier 1 support, teachers can proactively address learning gaps, minimize the need for more intensive interventions, and create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment. |
